On August 29, 2016, golfers in Saratoga will hit the links for the 9th Annual Teeing off on Cancer Golf Classic to benefit the Catie Hoch Foundation. The event includes lunch, a golf tournament, and the Fore & After Par-Tee, all to raise money to support children battling cancer and their families.

While charitable organizations and fundraising events like Teeing off on Cancer provide incredible services and support for members of our community, they don’t always have materials that effectively convey their messages. Donations and grants immediately go back into the community, so budgets for marketing and design are often low or nonexistent.

Because she knows it is important for organizations to share their message in a polished way, Brenda decided to lend a helping hand to this cause. For four years, Brenda has worked with Teeing Off on Cancer to design the brochure, invite and program, donating her time and skill to the cause. Brenda works with Darren Bennett, Skidmore College Women’s Basketball Coach, on this project, and Skidmore provides the printing for the event.

To-date, Teeing Off on Cancer has raised over $300,000 to support the fight against cancer. Brenda enjoys that her work on this project helps raise money that ultimately makes a considerable impact for local families. Finding ways to support the communities in which we work is an important part of the CLP mission.
